Our Thanksgiving meal at Socks For The Streets Prevention Point Philadelphia was a success. We feed 200+ people. We served turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and a roll. Their goodie bag was filled with desert, a banana, a bag of chocolates and water.
I have many cooks to thank: Ellen, Bob, Pat, Laurie, Patty, Ana, Liz, Cathy and Greg. We received many donations of deserts. Our volunteer servers were awesome – Pete, Dan, Shadow, Sarah, Liz, Ana and so many more.
We could not do what we do without all the volunteers!
Thank you to Carlos and Larry from Prevention Point for all their help. You are amazing men!

Hello everyone! My name is Declan, and I’m honored to serve as the Philadelphia Toys for Tots Youth Mentor Ambassador and Founder of Socks For The Streets. I’m reaching out to our amazing community for support with two important service projects I’m working on this year!
1. Toy Drive for Philadelphia Toys for Tots
I’m collecting new toys for children ages 0-2, 8-9, and 10-11. These age groups often receive the least donations, and we want to ensure every child has a reason to smile this holiday season. Last year, we supported 60,680 children in the Philadelphia area, distributing a total of 80,922 toys. This year, the number of applications for toys has increased, and we need your help to make an even bigger impact!
2. 6th Annual Sock Drive
I’m also working on my 6th Annual Sock Drive to support veterans and those experiencing homelessness. My goal is to beat last year’s record of collecting 28,000 pairs of socks and make an even greater difference in our community.
