Socks For The Streets

Socks The For Streets is a Non-Profit committed to Warming the Feet and Hearts of those in need.

Statewide mail delays in November and December have caused SNAP, Medical Assistance, TANF, and related hearing notices to arrive late.

If your benefits were cut off or you missed a deadline because of mail delays, you should contact the County Assistance Office right away, request reinstatement, and submit your paperwork anyway.

Appeal deadlines have been extended an additional 45 days, so you can still appeal, even if you get your notice late.

If you missed a hearing because your notice was delayed, you should contact the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals right away to request that your hearing be rescheduled.

Contact CLS for help with public benefits issues:
Mondays and Wednesdays, in person at 1410 W Erie Ave, 9am-12pm
Thursdays, by phone, at 215-227-2400, 9am-12pm

Visit clsphila.org/SNAPchanges to learn more about the appeal process.
